The Appearance of Cameo....

Moxie Fab World never fails to amaze me with its challenges. The appearance of Cameo is the latest challenge. Check out Moxie Fab World Cameo Challenge for inspirations. I love cameo and silhouettes. And I recently bought Silhouette stamp set from Hero Arts.  So I was so excited to play this challenge. Here is what I created.

I made tags using Hero Arts Silhouette stamp set, Waltzingmouse Very Vintage Labels No #10 and PTI's Text Style #1. These can be used as tags or be used as the image panel on a cards :) I  loved making these and can't wait to use them on different projects in future. Thanks so much for the challenge.

I had another 45 degree celcius day today. One more tomorrow before it cools down! Can't wait for Autumn weather. Hope you are having great weather and enjoying your weekend! If so I am jealous of you lol!

Bye for now!

Second post for today!!!!

Afternoon everybody,
Gosh! its a furnace today! 45 degree celcius and humid as well. I am melting and sticky and yucky!!!! I feel like sitting in the tub filled with cold water throughout the day! Sorry about that but weather is horrible today. Its going to stay this way for the next two days. Hate it especially during the weekends :( But that did not deter me from making this card using Card pattern #99 and Do More With Less.

Check out Card pattern blog for the sketch. Its such a beautiful sketch. And Do More With Less has Dana W Seymour challenging us to do more with pattern paper. I have stamped valentine definition from Su's Love Defined stamp set on the blue panel and hearts tree on the green panel. Here is closeup of the blue panel incase you don't see it.

I have used Prima Analee papers sent by Kris from PTI forum for the holiday swap. Thank you Analee your goodies are beautiful. I have used SU's Love Defined and PTI's Signature Greetings stamp set on the card. Die cuts using PTI Limitless layers dies. Rhine stones and Pearls from kaisercraft and Twine from stash.I enjoyed making this card and is one of my favourite card too :)
Thanks for stopping by!

You have a lovely day!

Digital card!!!!

I had an entire afternoon to myself today. Kids were at home but they had their friends over for a play. So generally they kept to themselves and did not disturb me. But being a hot day, I did not feel like stamping. Moreover my stamp room gets really hot and the air conditioner does not work well in that room. So I ended up with my laptop to play with. I decided to try my hand at photoshop. The finished products is this one here :)

I download a free kit from Shabby Princess and used the digital papers and embellishments from the kit to make this card. The vintage photo of the woman is from Graphicsfairy blog. I then printed the card to see how it looks on paper. I then matted the print and mounted on the card. This is how it looks in real.

Cool!!!! I love the idea of using digital paper and embellishments. Will save on paper, stamps, glue...... but not much excitment compared to using the real thing, you know what I mean? Will certainly try more digital cards but will not print them out. Inks for the printer are expensive :(
Anyway, I then went back to using stamps, paper and ink and made couple of more cards. I will share with you tomorrow. Until then, have a nice day!

PTI Blog Hop

Morning everybody,

I am very happy to play along the New Year blog hop with PTI. This month's theme is

With the new year comes a clean slate along with many resolutions.  This month's blog hop challenge
involves you challenging yourself to use a Papertrey stamp set that has yet to see ink or even one that
might be collecting a little dust!  Go through your stash and see what little used treasure it might hold.  If
you are in need of inspiration for your chosen set, feel free to utilize the gallery posted in the side bar of
each set's sale page on our website, or go to the
Previous Countdown page on Nichole's blog where
each set is organized by month of release.  2011 is the year where what's old is new again!

I do have many stamp sets where I have used only one or two stamps and a few sets that haven't seen ink at all. So this is a great chance to get them inked. Banner stamp set is one of them. So I decided to use it along with the coordinating dies.
Here is my first card.

The second one is using "In Bloom" stamp set, die and impression plate.

I love "In Bloom" set. Its my most favourite of all stamps from PTI because the stamps has coordinating dies, impression plate and the pattern paper. Its a complete set. Can't wait to collect more set like this.

I am off to hop and see other projects. Happy Hopping :)

A valentine's card made using Early Expresso card stock from SU, Glitter sheet and pattern paper from my stash, Glitter sheet diecut using PTI dies, stamped image is from SU and sentiment from PTI.

I edited the photo using Picnick software. First time trying out the software. Its free but for more editing you could update to premium starting from as low as $4.95 for a month to $24.95 for a year. There are plenty of fun things to play with even in the free version. Saw it on Picasa :)

Happy to be back!!!!!

Hi everybody,

I am so happy to be back. I had been away for the holidays to visit my parents and in-laws and now back home in Australia. Home Sweet Home always and forever, don't you think?  :)
For past 3 weeks I had been super busy. Did not time to even open my laptop. Last week of holidays was like visiting friends and families. We had to come back home 10 days early due to an important reason. After coming back, ofcourse there is cleaning, washing, sorting out the suitcases.....DH was sick with fever, diarrhoea and vomiting during last week. He is getting better.Kids went crazy coming back home and looking at their gaming things. All of us were jet lagged for a few days and the weather is hot!
Anyway, now that I am back home, I can't wait to restart stamping and blogging.I have some new stuff to play with and hoping after my DH goes back to work next week I can restart blogging. I don't know about you all, if my DH is at home, its chaos at home. Nothing goes as per routine and I cannot plan and do anything at home. And my kids are still on school holidays and constantly I am cooking and cleaning. So hoping atleast on the weekend I will get to stamp and take photographs.

So Happy New Year 2011 everybody and keep tunning in for new projects this year.

Luv!
