Today we are showcasing Goldie Trim Cutaways  and Lulu Fringe Cutaways
I have used the oval streamers from the Goldie Trim Cutaways in bright colours to make my card below.

happy Birthday card2

I die cut the oval streamers in green, blue and hot pink cardstock and lined it up on the card panel with an overhang. I the used Silver Confetti from Pretty Pink Posh at the intersections of the oval stream to add glitz and glamour ;) I love the bright colours and the silver confetti.

For the sentiment I die cut In A Word: Happy Cutaway in black and stamped the smaller sentiment from The Big, the Bold and Happy stamp set.

Welcome back!

Today is Day #2 of Winnie & Walter's A Week to Die For.

Today we are showcasing Essentials: Katharine Cutaways, In a Word: Cheers Cutaway, In a Word: Happy Cutaway and In a Word: Love Cutaway.

I have used In a Word: Cheers die to make my card below.

Cheers card2

I used the gold glitter paper to die cut my word die, the a few more using white cardstock. I stacked and glued them together with the gold gliltter die cut on the top. I chose black cardstock as my base to get a fantastic contrast. Then I die cut the circle die cuts out of The Big Bang Confetti Cutaway and glitter gold paper in three sizes. I then randomly glued them on the card front. I just love the glitter gold on the black card base.

Winnie & Walter's A Week to Die for Day #1

Welcome!
This week, we are playing " A WEEK TO DIE FOR" at Winnie & Walter.

We at Winnie & Walter are showcasing the new Cutaways released last month.
Today we are sharing projects using The Big, the Bold and Party Cutaways and The Big, the Bold and You Cutaways.

I have used "THANKS" die from The Big, the Bold and You Cutaways on my card below.

Thanks card 1

I die cut a few "thanks" from thick cardstock. For the top layer, I sponged some purple distress inks in ombre, then die cut the "thanks". Then stacked and glued them with the purple die cut on the top to get a substantial dimension. I brushed some glossy accent on the die cut to give some gloss effect.

Thanks closeup

I stamped the "thanks" image from The Big, the Bold and You stamp set in grey on the background panel and die cut using the smaller frame die from Katherine Cutaways. I glued the "thanks die cut in the middle. Then adhered this panel to the card front using foam adhesives. I then stamped 'a bunch' from The Big, the Bold and You stamp set on the fish tail diecut from Katherine Cutaways. Finally accented with sparkly gold enamel dots.

Have a Rockin' Birthday!

This is my take on the sketch

Rockin Birthday1

I used the Equalizer stencil and sponged distress inks in rainbow colours. I LOVE distress inks. They are easy to sponge and blend beautifully. I then used one of the dies from Stitched Snow Drifts die set to die cut the curved edge on the bottom as shown in the sketch. The bottom panel is largest die cut from Inside Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle Stax die set.

Rocking Birthday flat

For the focal element, I die cut a few Mp3 player and headphones in black and accented with white dial and blue head pieces. The sentiments are from Keep On Rockin' stamp set.

Runway Inspired Challenge #78

Hey everyone,

I have a new Runway Inspired Challenge today

What a beautiful dusky pink colour?  Love the skirt and the top style is currently in trend . My inspiration is basically the striped top and the dusky pink colour. So here is my take on the DNKY outfit.

Happy Birthday

I have used Winnie & Walter's Scenery: Stripes medium striped stamp and white heat embossed on the white card stock panel. Then sponged some Fresh Peach Hero Arts Shadow Ink in ombre. This ink is pinkish and when dry is beautiful.

Happy Birthday clsoeup!

For the focal point, I stamped and black heat embossed the flower cluster from Penny Black's Blooming Garden on vellum cardstock, cut out and coloured using copic makers. I then adhered the flower cluster using foam adhesives. For the sentiment, I black heat embossed the "happy birthday" from The Party Stamp set from Winnie & Walter. Finally accented with Sparkly Clear 8mm, 6mm and 4mm sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Muse for a new CAS challenge.

Hello folks,

There is a new Clean and Simple challenge in town everyone!

Ksenija from Sovushka Salvia Blog asked if she can use this card of mine as a muse for her new Clean and Simple challenge on her blog. Of course, I said yes! it is an honor to be featured and used as an inspiration. Thank you so much Ksenija :)

So here is my muse card.

Time to party 1

Here is my CASEd card.

Celebrate1

I have used the hydrangeas from Penny Black's Blooming Garden stamp set which I heat embossed on the watercolour cardstock. Then I colourwashed with Purple colour from Peerless Watercolour. I did this in layers starting with the lightest, drying then layering with another layer of purple with heaver shades in few places. This gives nice depth to the colour wash.

Celebrate closeup2

For the sentiment I colour washed the watercolour paper in orange colour and then die cut Celebrate die from Celebrations die set also from Penny Black for the top layer. I also die cut couple more using regular cardstock. I then stacked and glued them with the orange die cut on the top.

Celebrate closeup!

Finally embellished with Pretty Pink Posh's Amethyst 6 mm and Marigold 4mm sequins.

Check out Sovushka Salvia Clean and Simple Blog for more design team inspiration. They are very pretty and CAS. If CAS is your style, come and play along. There are prizes o be won too :)

Donut Delight!

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

 Donut Delight!

The LEAD of Donut Delight will be invited as a Guest Designer in our next challenge!

Here is my take on the challenge.

Donut card

Donuts are trendy at the moment. Who does not like donuts! I love them but at the moment can only drool at them. I am banned from eating sugary food for fear of developing diabetes. Runs in the family. So I am creating the paper donuts to satisfy my craving :(

These donuts are made using My Favorite Things  Donuts dies. I have die cut the base of the donuts using kraft cardstock and the icing using various colour cardstocks. Inked the edges of the base using Gathered Twigs distress inks and the icing with matching distress inks. Then I glued the icing over the base. Then applied a generous coating of glossy accents to make the donuts look glossy. The sprinkles were are also die cut using the MFT die using various colour cardstocks. I sprinkled the sprinkles on the donuts when the glossy accents was still wet. Once dry, I gave another coat of glossy accent. The donuts came out lovely :) I arranged them like how it is on the challenge graphics on the die cut panel. Then stamped the sentiment from Donuts and Sprinkles stamp set also from MFT on a strip of cardstock and adhered in the middle. Here is a  closeup!

I donut know!

I have been playing with the Donuts dies from MFT since it arrived on Friday.

Here is a card I made using this week sketch from MFT

Donut know card

I simple die cut a few pieces of donut base from kraft cardstock, then the icing from orange cardstock with one icing piece die cut with the sprinkles as well. I then sponged some Gathered Twig distress ink on the base die cuts and  Ripe Persimmon distress ink on the icing. I stacked glued the base die cuts. Similarly the icing die cuts with the sprinkled one on the top. Glued the icing stack on the base stack. I love the dimension due to the stacked die cuts. I then added some diamond stickles inside the sprinkles. I love the donut.

Donut know closeup1

Adhere the donut to the white panel, For the strip on the right side of the sketch I used an orange striped pattern paper with a strip of gold foil cardstock. I only stamped one half of the sentiment on a strip of white cardstock. You can personalise the rest of the sentiment on the inside of the card.

This is the sketch from MFT
